Formed in early 2020, HydroSapient's mission as a company is to accelerate the world's accessibility to reliable water resources predictions to enable sustainable development. We believe this information can eventually be sustainably made available to everyone who needs it, at a low cost.

At the current stage, our focus is on building core capabilities and translating academic research outcomes, along with additional internal research, into accurate, low-cost, easy-to-use environmental and hydrological predictions.

Our peer-reviewed, academically-published machine learning models for soil moisture and streamflow prediction each produce unprecedentedly high national-scale forecast accuracy, and are much better than the extensively-calibrated operational models currently in use. Due to the ease and efficiency of running these models with up-to-date forecasting, we are making these predictions available through an online platform, so that anyone with a need for this information will be able to access it at low cost, with no machine learning knowledge or computational expense necessary for the user.
